Club History / About the Team

Falkirk Phoenix BC (Est 2019) rose from the ashes of Zetland ABC (Est 1980) and is therefore the successor club of Zetland ABC and its predecessor Grangemouth ABC (Est 1948) - ALL 3 of which FPBC club president Stevie Morrison attended.

The club is owned and run by UNPAID VOLUNTEERS!

Those unpaid volunteers have invested £1000s of their own money into the club!

The club is a NOT FOR PROFIT organisation!
The coaching team are ALL experienced former boxers - two are still active.
They have over 150 years boxing experience between them!
They have won 14 national titles between them.
Four of the team have competed at international level for Scotland.
Two of the team travelled the world to compete at the likes of the Commonwealth Games and World Championships!
All are qualified boxing coaches.
One is an AIBA starred referee and judge.
All have PVG clearance.
All have child protection training.
One is an Advanced Life Support Instructor.

Most of the team are first aid trained.
One is a registered nurse.
One runs their own business.
One is a social care worker.

One is a manager at work.

One is an engineer.

One was in the Navy but is now an NHS Scotland employee.
One is a University Lecturer.
ALL give up their time FOR FREE to run the club & coach!
